Therapeutic Yoga

The Therapeutic Yoga Training Program began in 1998 as a continuing education course to teach physical therapists, registered nurses, certified yoga teachers, and other health care professionals how to integrate therapeutic yoga into their repertoire of healing techniques.

Therapeutic Yoga, as it is taught in this program, is a carefully designed collection of restorative yoga, gentle yoga, breath work, guided meditation, and hands-on healing. The modalities used here are those from the yoga tradition the founders have determined to be most useful in helping those recovering from injury or illness.

In place for over eight years, the program has received incredible support from the nursing, physical therapy, and yoga communities. Our graduates have applied the knowledge gained at the trainings to a wide array of hospital settings, clinics, and private practice. We detail some of their stories in our heroes section. Our training provides continued education units for a variety of disciplines and includes a 115 page manual that graduates take home with them.

Our next training is at the , (non-residential, ). To find out more information about upcoming trainings, click here.
